Jazz Composer and 2004 Gil Evans Fellowship Award Winner James Miley is currently on the music faculty at Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, VA, where he teaches composition, music theory and jazz studies.  He is also a founding member of of the jazz collective BUG with Peter Epstein, Brian Hamada, Jeff Miley and Roger Shew.
